K3b stops seeing empty cd in drive

Trying to burn an iso using K3b which I have done many times. Today K3b keeps prompting me to insert blank disk. Strange because it reports that the disk is present if I select the drive and gives me info but when I wish to burn an image the burn windo still shows no disk.
Running 12.1 64 bit with KDE desktop.

Have tried several different blank discs and checked that I can read from full disk.
Anybody have any suggestions how I can sort this out?

Sorted. Not K3b that couldn’t see the disk but me. Used a CD by mistake when DVD was needed!

Maybe k3b doesn’t say: “Hey, this is a CD! I need a DVD!”

(and that would be a Bug, IMHO)
