K3B OPC failed can't burn audio cd

I’m trying to burn an audio CD with K3B. It spins up, but after 1 minute it produces “OPC Failed: Probably the driver does not like the medium”. I have k3b (and its dependencies) installed from the packman repository. I’ve tried deleting the configuration files of k3b, but no success. So far Google has left me in the dark for a solution.

Any help is appreciated

There’s a couple of things you can do:

  1. Start Systemsettings - Permissions - k3BSetup, check the device in the top list, all 4 items in the lower list, click Apply, enter root password, and try again.
  2. Try another CD, preferably another brand of CD.

Found the solution.
I’ve got an IDE drive and through jumpers I set the burner to slave, but it was connected the the master connector on the IDE cable. Switching that around enabled me to burn again. :slight_smile:
