2 hours ago I had Kubuntu on here. I burned several CD and DVD images, including OpenSuSE 11.2. Then I installed OpenSuSE 11.2 on this same computer.
I wanted to install Debian on my spare computer, so I went to burn the image for it with k3b, but k3b didn’t give me the option for CD or DVD, so I just assumed it would auto detect. But when I put in my blank CD, it didn’t work, it just said please insert media.
However, I installed Brasero, and it worked fine. Which begs the obvious question - what’s up with k3b?
Working fine here
Some others have had issues.
Such burning should not be a problem either, whichever version you have. Most will get the version from Packman with the codecs to enable restricted formats like mp3
Well, this is a fresh install with the packman repos. I’m not new to Linux, but I am new to OpenSuSE and RPM related distros. I’m liking what I’m seeing so I certainly think I’ll stick with it full bore. But I -really- liked K3B, so not having it function right is kind of a blow.
Is there anything I can do?
