ASUS-JC-NEW:~>

The DVD-RW disk is empty but not new.
K3b find it empty.
The DVD-RW has been force formated after the first try which failed.

Using a brand-new DVD succeed.
Here the output.

Any comment is welcome.

Is the user doing the burning a member of the “cdrom” group?

Also, a DVD-RW / DVD+RW may only be reformatted a limited number of times – AFAIK about 1 000 times.
Please be aware that the DVD-/+RW medium is much more sensitive to storage temperature limits than the DVD-/+R medium.
