I like KDE, especially the customization. I really do. And I also like google chrome. But it seems that for some reason on my new opensuse Leap desktop, they are incompatible. If I run chrome, then part of KDE locks up and becomes unusable. I cannot shut down chrome, and other kde functions, like navigating to different desktops, don’t work anymore. The titlebar of the chrome window doesn’t show up either. The only way to get out of it is to hit ctrl-alt-double-backspace.
I tried uninstalling chrome, uninstalling KDE, deleting the .config directory. I added the KDE5 framework repo, and wolfi’s repo. I switched system packages to the KDE5 framework repo. It didn’t help. At this point I don’t know what to do, and I really don’t know what I am doing.
I would post logs here or something, but I have no idea what to post? Any help here? I really need to start using my system, instead of spending so many hours just trying to make it work.
At the very least, I can post my repos:

The reason I got wolfi’s repo is I was thinking of trying to install
KDE4, as it worked really well for me in 13.2 and was always stable,
never locking up. Plasma 5 looks really nice but locks up frequently.
However, I didn’t get around to trying to install KDE4 yet, as once I
got the repo up, Plasma 5 was starting to look like it was going to work
alright, but then it locked up again after I began using chrome again.
It is a desktop, not optimus. I have an nvidia graphics card in it:
