that I was really impressed with openSUSE when I connected my netbook to an external monitor. Not only did it automatically clone my output, it had so many different options to configure my screen. It was very nice, especially since I’ve had difficulty using external monitors with other distributions.

I never tried it myself so I don’t know how good it works.
But I think this could be another reason for using openSUSE.
Good that you mention it. Someone from my organization came the other day to tell me that he attached a beamer to his computer and 11.2 automatically did the right thing.
I love being pleasantly surprised by things working when they are plugged in! Gives me warm fuzzies.
