I just want to give feedback, I’ve been using tumbleweed and when i boot my computer it takes soooooooooooooooooooo long to boot up into my kde desktop and everything lags for a short while. I think you should make it almost instant, super fast not waiting 5 minutes to use my computer. same with shutting down if i enter shutdown now or shutdown -r now it should like immediately shutdown. No waiting. That’s my feedback. Oh and out of the box kate had to be upgraded to have settings on the kde desktop and i don’t like to update things unless i need an update like if a program wont work.
More Tumbleweed feedback:

You may run the above on your machine.
I dont understand what all that is can you explain? Should i type all that to make it faster?
Well You dont really give any information. Tumbleweed is a rolling release and as such needs regularly updating, if you don’t want that then don’t use Tumblewed install Leap the stable release. Mine boots up in around 20-30 seconds into KDE usable desktop, you do not say what processor or memory your system has and what kind of hard disks, an SSD makes it a lot faster.
If you want to use Tumbleweed then take a look at the first line in each of those code snippets and run each command in a console window and post the results here together with an overview of your hardware and you may get some help.
Stuart
Why don’t you ask, at best with some factual information, but if you do not know which commands to use then ask for it) one of the technical help sub-forums, I assume Install/Boot/Login is the best one). Then people will probably try to help you with a support. When you do not want support (posting here), there is hardly anything you can expect, except people telling you that they do not have that slow boot/login combination. Or do you really think that everybody waits 5 minutes after switching the system on before they can start working on it?
And please be aware of the difference between booting and log-in (in e.g. KDE). There is not such a thing as “booting into KDE”.
And as suggested above, when you so not like to update a program unless needed because of e.g. security reasons, then why did you choose for Tumbleweed instead of Leap?
