so i try next:

1- install “tlp” and uninstall “power-profiles-daemon
same problem

2- reinstall “power-profiles-daemon” and de-install “tlp
same problem

3- fing GUI program called “Power Statics”, so i try open it and find it provide information only.
still same problem

4- unplugged the adapter and let the device run on the battery till the charge percentage change from the fixed value “96%” to another percentage. then plug it again and the battery start charge, and then reach 100% and every thing work normal (as what was before the upgrade).

Can you try booting 15.5 from USB and check if the problem is running that way?

That will tell if the problem is also with a “clean” 15.5 install or that it is somehow with your 15.4 update.
