Just an appreciation to the contributers in OpenSUSE

After trying 6 months ago to do a fresh install Leap 16.0 with a lot of errors and problems and went back to my “heaven” Leap 15.6 knowing if I would continue with OpenSUSE that I have used for 18 years I had to move up so I changed my graphic card and two days ago I did a fresh install - Bingo it is PERFICK! - Thank you all that is doing all this hard work for the community.

Yea, six months ago, I was testing 16 on virtual machines and wasn’t convinced, which is why I’m still on 15.6.

I made a decision to wait until 16.1 (which is soon) … one reason is I didn’t want to jump to 16, then do another upgrade months later (to 16.1). Plus, it gives the team more time to fix things / improve the installer | migration tool.

I would like to ask: what is it you are not convinced of? What has been being bad? What do you expect to actually improve?

IMO this should be in Open Chat.

OK Boss I will do it next time supervisor!

Glad to hear the installation went well. Many of us long term general users found the road to leap 16 a bit bumpy. Hopefully the crew know what they are doing. We shall see. Meanwhile, I endorse your thanks to all those working to keep this fine distro rolling. It’s a darn sight easier now than it was juggling a stack of floppies. :boomerang:

It is working flawless just like my earlier OpenSUSE distro did - no errors and clean, and very fast - Thank you for your comment!
