Thanks microchip. A question … … I notice 3 “drive” icons on your desktop. Are these to external drives or partitions, or simply a fast way to get to an internal mounted partition? … (Your desktop has me thinking on how I could save some time myself).
it’s a fast way to get to an internal mounted partition. The “Backup” drive is coupled to a small partition on my main drive. The “Data” one points to a partition on my second drive. And finally, the “Data 2” only becomes available when I plug in a third drive. It has an entry in /etc/fstab but it’s set to noauto so that it won’t be auto-mounted on boot.
Further to this, please, to make the thread more viewable, could users upload an image to a 3rd party hosting site, that allows thumbnails, and then post the thumbnail image here (linked to the large high quality image of our desktop). sontek, how did you change the number of applications you can add to your favorites in the gnome menu? I have searched around gconf-editor with no luck. Also, another thing I have not been able to figure out is how to change the ‘computer’ icon (remove the word computer and use a custom icon).
If you have any ideas, I’d appreciate the suggestions! I am using RC1.
