I was checking out Fedora and wanted a Fedora wallpaper so I could quickly tell which Linux OS I was booted into. I found a really nice one, then I had to make more. I have Mageia, Tumbleweed and Fedora, so I made wallpaper for all of them, and Slowroll.
This gentleman, Hernando Ramos, was kind enough to post the Blender 3D model that he rendered his Fedora Wallpapers with. All he asked for was credit for his work which is really nice. His scene layout particularly matches the Magiea logo, but it goes well with about anything. Now I have to go find that new Tumbleweed logo. ![]()
I’ll post my Blender file in another thread because it has all of the pieces to put any of these together. With a little study even a beginner can render these by turning different objects in the scene on and off . These renders are scattered across Fedora and Tumbleweed. I need to gather them up, but I’m including a screenshot of thumbnails so you can get an idea about what’s in the model file. The last thumbnail is one of his original Fedora versions.
Blender makes .exr files. An EXR file (short for OpenEXR) is a professional, high-dynamic-range (HDR) image format developed by Industrial Light & Magic. With just the EXR file you can adjust the light to make darker and lighter versions using Darktable (Shadows & Highlights - and Exposure etc), but the EXR files are 20MB’s each.
Now I can tell what OS I’m booted into, at least for now. ![]()
Fedora Mango Dank Material…because I have not found a way to get Mango running on Tumbleweed. If anyone can help getting Mango on Tumbleweed would greatly appreciate that.

@Vernius Don’t worry I run GNOME
and also Hyprland, it’s integrated with dconf, so can configure a lot with gsettings.
I’m using gnome too
Can’t do anything in my garden due to heat wave and wild fire smokes so just decided to make a tumbleweed/openSUSE wallpaper. ![]()
