jovie and mp3 or ogg how to produce a sound file

on my PC=Dell latitude E6510, RAM=8Gb, GPU=GT218 NVS 3100M, CPU=i7 Q 720 @ 1.60GHz, OS=opensuse 13.2 KDE= 4.14.9
I installed jovie, the text to speach software, my aim is to produce a sound file like mp3 or ogg from text, but it seems that jovie doesn’t do this, is there a way or a software I can install to get an mp3 from text??
many thanks, ciao  pier

When Jovie converts text to speech, it creates a WAV sound file in /tmp that will exist until the the next text to speech event happens, or the /tmp directory is cleared. At least that is how it works using Cepstral’s swift as the TTS (text to speech) engine.
