Joining Windows Server 2012 Domain

Hello guys,

I am trying to join a windows server 2012 domain as a client. Everything goes good and yast tells me I have joined the domain. Also, my computer shows up under computers in the AD. The problem is after I restart and try to log into the domain the drop down menu doesn’t have the domain listed. My choices are either “local” or “null”. Does anybody know what causes this?

I’m using the latest stable version of opensuse btw.

I don’t have anything to test on,

But in the “early days” of OpenSuSE (Note the spelling),
I resolved this by simply entering the entire domain/hostmachine string, eg

ADDOMAIN/HOSTMACHINE

and the User either using the same “slash” format or “@” eg

ADDOMAIN/ADUSER

or

ADUSER@ADDOMAIN

Just an update,

It ended up being a bad iso. I ran a checksum and it failed. Just for kicks i tried Suse Enterprise the second time and it worked fine. I’m sure the OpenSuse would be fine too.
