Jobs stay pending in file (network printer)

Hi,

Complying with Brother’s instruction I have installed the LPR and CUPSWRAPPER drivers for my new network printer Brother DCP750CW.
Everything went apparently fine.
But now when I try to print something (page test from CUPS’s server or page from an application)the jobs remains pending in the file.
I don’t know what to do? I have pingged the IP address of the printer successfully.
I need help.

Thanks.****

Have you tried
http://localhost:631/
to check the CUPS status.

CUPS sometimes has to be manually restarted after it has detected a problem of which you may be oblivious.

This is normally followed by the spooler filling up with unprinted files.

Thanks for your help.
I did so. But I don’t know exactly what to check on this page (localhost). What do you mean exactly by restarting CUPS?

Last information.
I reviewed all the procedure and managed to have the printer working.
My mistake was: after entering the name of the lpd file, I clicked the wrong button. (“change printer” instead of “goes on” under the brand pick-list, the button names are translated from French thus they could be a bit different) .
I now have to install it on a second PC.
Thanks again for help
