JavaHL on eclipse on 11.1

It appears that this tpic has been discussed. I don’t know how people claim they scucceeded.

I can’t get JavaHL working with eclipse on my machine. It’s more like a JavaHL issue than anything else. I just can’t find a way to installed. I did managed to install a copy from CollabNet Subversion Downloads, as somebody suggested. But it only crashed my eclipse everytime I goto preference->team->svn.

Can anybody please help me?

Why don’t you install as plugin from the plugin’s repository?

Did you get it work? Would you please share more details? Which plugin’s repo? I tried to install subversive and it complains about SVN connector.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Thake a look to this post:
Subversion JavaHL bindings - openSUSE Forums
I tried to install the plugin from plugin’s repo, but it’s failed with Null Pointer Exception. Installing any Eclipse plugin on openSUSE is very painful. I suggest you to delete your eclipse and install a new one manually.
Good luck.

Yes I did read that thread. And I managed to delete my eclipse, downloaded the latest one from eclipse site and manually installed it.

I also managed to install the plugins. However it complains no JavaHL. Then I tried to install JavaHL from CollabNet Subversion Downloads . After that when I try to configure SVN connector the eclipse always crashes.

In this thread one user made it with SNVKit (without JavaHL). You can also try:

  1. Reinstall the plugin, exit from Eclipse and start it with -clean option from the command-line.
  2. Start your Eclipse from command line, open the SVN connector configuration dialog and paste here the error messages.

SVNKit works great! Thanks a lot for your help. JavaHL still doesn’t work though. But it’s not important because we know one way works.

You are welcome! Thank you for posting back.
