javaFX with java-11-openjdk

JavaFX is not part of java-11-openjdk any more.
It is distributed as a separate package.
Does a package for JavaFX exist in one of the openSUSE compatible
repositories and what is it called?
My searches in this direction were fruitless.

Do I need to install ist manually?
Where would I get it then?

grateful for any help

This was the subject of a thread in the Applications forum not that long ago (maybe 6 months?)

JavaFX originally was developed for openJDK as a separate package, but IIRC 6 months ago(actual integration might have happened long before then), documentation said that it was accepted into and distributed as part of openjdk-devel (the openjdk equivale3nt of Oracle JDK)

If you think that things have changed again for some reason, pls post the references you’re using, thx.

openSUSE packages are outdated (v 1.8). For current versions see JavaFX - Gluon Download, unzip and add to classpath.

openjdk-devel (which AFAIK should include JavaFX today) should be matched to the installed, configured and enabled version of openjdk, I don’t recommend mixing and matching. If you believe a package should be updated, I’d instead recommend submitting a feature request ot https://bugzilla.opensuse.org.

As for openjdk version, I see that openjdk 13 is currently available in openSUSE repos (I assume that isn’t the very, very ancient openjdk 1.3).
