I installed the package “java3d” with yast, and I already have Java_1.6 installed, with the plugin(2 files from YAST). I went online to do a java3d test, and every test site says it is not installed, when it is. Now, where exactly was this supposed to be installed so I can use it under Firefox? Obviously it was installed in the wrong place and Firefox does not see it. Thanks
Current java3d installation directory>>>>/usr/share/java
Java3d on websites is usually used with java webstart and not with applets
and webstart autmatically fetches every misssing third party lib like java3d
and whatever else if coreectly configured by the person who made the
application.
Can you point me to one of this websites to see what is there?

That makes no sense, I need to know exactly one or two links which do not
work for you. Of course I know some sites with java3d on it, but I need to
need which ones you used for test.

That worked. I get a connect four game that is 3d. I rotated it all around. How come I visited some sites and they say I do not have it installed? If it does not work at all the sites…no good. check these out. Thanks.

Simple answer the: The two links you sent me are very badly designed applets
assuming that the user is able to configure the java plugin in the browser
and the java runtime environment in a way to be able to handle third party
libraries like java3d in a way that the browser plugin can find them.
This is in principle possible but that is simply not the intended way
applets are supposed to be made (at least not today, in the old days this
was often the case so that it was a random play if something java related
worked in the browser or not).
