Java Issues

I am trying to get openSUSE to run on my son’s computer. He likes to play WoW and Minecraft. I’ll figure out WoW later as he doesn’t have a membership at this time, but trying to get Minecraft to work hasn’t been to easy for me.

So I installed the jave package as directed in this:

Oracle (Sun) Java for openSUSE - Easy Linux tips project

I followed it to the the letter and everything worked well. When I try to load Minecraft in the browser I get this:

org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: X Error - disp: 0x80e8868 serial: 43 error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) request_code:1 minor_code:0

I have searched google for a while and found a lot of information but nothing has fixed my specific problem.

If someone has a solution I would appreciate it.

Hi,

this seems to be a problem with the video.

What kind of video card do you have ?

If ati or Nvidia, try to install the proprietary drivers.
