Your previous post looked like you solved the problem.
What you have to to is to change the java plugin to the sun java plugin.
Most easy solution:
Remove icedtea-web, java-1_6_0-openjdk-plugin and openjdk
Install java-1_6_0-sun-plugin
Restart your browser and test
Hope that helps.

Eee PC 1201n: oS 11.4 64 bit | Intel Atom 330@1.60GHz | KDE 4.7.2 | nVidia
ION | 3GB Ram
i am NOT sure, but i think you must have both of these
java-1_6_0-sun
java-1_6_0-sun-plugin
find them in YaST > Software Management
AND (as martin_helm mentions) remove all openjdk (using YaST), very
important…then restart browser and go…(it should work: ServerSpy
tells me your bank uses IBM_HTTP_Server (like mine does) and it should
work…some times the banks get one version of Java behind so, if yours
doesn’t work after the above then find the page on your banks site where
it says the exact requirements…you may have to go back to a little
older java…
Thank you for your answers (and sorry about the misunderstanding).
I did this :
Remove icedtea-web, java-1_6_0-openjdk-plugin and openjdk
Install java-1_6_0-sun-plugin
It seems that I need to install java-1_6_0-sun to have the plugin. java-1_6_0-sun was already installed.
I removed all openjdk through the Yast
All this doesn’t make it work.
On my bank’s site, it says that I need the Java Sun version 1.6.0_24 : Install correct version of Java Virtual Machine - Komerční banka
Everything seems correct, but nothing is working.
You should have 1.6.0_26 now. You can verify that in a terminal by typing
java -version
otherwise I can only guess that something windows specific is used since
that link you gave only contains instructions for windows, but of course I
do not know.
You can go to the following link and check which java version you have in
the browser http://javatester.org/version.html

i don’t think so…the OP’s post says the bank site says it requires
“1.6.0_24” and i’ve had to backlevel before to meet a Danish bank site
demands to run a specific version
i’d say the OP needs to make sure that the SUN _24 is only java
installed, then dump all browser cookies and history related to the
bank, shut down the browser, reboot and pray…

That would be the worst case, but since the link on their page links to a
java 1.6.0_24 32bit for windows which is hosted on their site this can be
true and you will have trouble to download any 1.6.0_24 from oracle for
anything else since they (oracle) do not provide access to former builds
directly.
Though I can imagine you are right DenverD I have a really hard time to
imagine what explicit feature a java programmer (I am one) could use which
is not available or broken in a previous 1.6 build but also no longer
working in the newer ones, I just think if they really test on a special
build number (and not on a build number or higher) their software is such a
crap that I never would use that for banking, sorry to say it so blunt.

i do not disagree…and i dropped that bank (Denmark’s largest), and
moved all my banking business to another…

If even that does not work, the only solution which comes to my mind is
running an browser in a virtual machine with windows in it and the java from
the bank or to try installing a browser in wine and install the windows java
from the banks link also in wine.

do as you wish…what i did was dump my **** bank which required me to
run MS-Windows and their ***** proprietary implementation of java…
i walked across the street to a competing bank which had the good sense
to use banking software which was both more secure and allowed me to be…
opened an account, bought some of their bank stock and am VERY happy i
made the switch…not only can i bank securely using my chosen
operating system, but their fees are lower, their interest on savings
and certificates of deposit higher and i my investment in their stock
quadrupled in ten years.
sometimes one gets lucky, sometimes one makes the wrong (imo) decision
and jumps from secure, dependable, predictable software to Micro**** so
everything is ‘easy’…
go for it, if that is what you want…but, you need not denigrate Linux
as you flee for ‘easy’ and insecure…

When I wrote : this ***** software, I meant the bank site, not linux.
In fact, I am very satisfied by linux. Plus I have the feeling to do something right by using it.
And your helping me for this problem makes me feel part of a community moved by a noble philosophy.
In this situation, I would never start to have doubts towards linux because it is not compatible with a french bank software…
Thank you again !

I want just to add that that I use a java software to do my online
banking from linux (that will not help you it is a german software)
which works great with openjdk and has absolutely no problems. I just
mention it to show that it is not a law of nature what you see with your
bank.
Did you try external software like kmymoney or gnucash for online
banking? Maybe that is an option for you?
