Java 3D programs (such as SweetHome), work fine, but when I maximize to full screen, X windows freezes. I must reboot. These programs worked just fine before I upgraded from Suse 10.3 to Suse 11.0. After I did the upgrade, I removed/upgraded all my packages via opensuse repo’s, and Packman for Suse 11.0…So I know for a fact that no “OLD” 10.3 packages are installed to corrupt things. I also manually did re-installs on all the GL/X11 packages to make sure. If it worked fine on 10.3, then there is no reason why it should not work on 11.0. This calls for an expert. Thanks
Well… just to confrim. I’m also having random freezes in X , mainly when using Firefox with java related content.
Removing Java 1_6_0 and reverting to the 1_5_0 packages results is a stable desktop again.
I also just tried installing the 1_7_0 openjdk version… after two minutes already hit the jackpot (X froze again).
I’ll stick to the 1_5_0 version for now.
Cheers,
Wj
