I've made an updated version of a package in OSS

The dar package in OSS was getting quite old (it wasn’t updated with 11.2 or 11.3) and this old version wasn’t capable of reading all my backup files. So I’ve updated the RPM and rebuilt it, to the latest 2.3.10 version.

My question is should I just create a ‘home directory’ repository in the OBS and put it there for people to find or is there a way I can submit it into the main opensuse development process?

I think submitting it into the main development process would be better, after all my RPM is a rebuild (with minor spec file changes) of the source RPM from the oss repo, but I don’t know how to go about it.

I think, you should branch https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=dar&project=Archiving, make updates and submit request.
