It’s almost embarrassing to ask, but where are the things that I save to
my desktop?
They can be reached by the dolphin browser, but they’re not on the
desktop - under the windows. Only the wallpaper is there.
I’m using Opensuse 11.1 and KDE4.
Thanks!
Hi!
In order to show the items on the Desktop you can either, right click on your desktop area and then choose Add widgets. Search for Folder View, and then click it and then choose add widget.
This will bring a translucent box up on your desktop. Hold your mouse over top of it and you’ll see a tab come out of the right or left side of the box. Click the wrench icon to configure what folder to see. The Desktop folder is the first option.
Alternatively you can have a traditional desktop by right clicking on the desktop then choosing Desktop Settings. Under Desktop Activity use the drop down menu to choose Folder View. It should show the Desktop folder to begin with, if not right click on your Desktop and then choose the settings and manually specify the Desktop Folder.
Take Care,
Ian
That did it!
Thanks ij.
