i recently installed opensuse 11 on my laptop.
it was working happily, however now it loads past the bootloader to the splash screen with the white bar (which fails to move at all) and just stays like that until i turn it off???
im a noob btw, and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
For what ever reason when I installed the new kernel, it changed my drive order in the /boot/grub/menu.lst
I had to change the 0,1 back to 0,0

however i had only recently installed it and after a frustrating time i just re-installed…
Acidgenie, i would disable the automatic updates, otherwise it’s likely that you would run into that situation again
