Issues with wifi, drivers and kernel

So yesterday I made a fresh install, went fine.

But as expected I needed to install Nvidia drivers. so today I went and did that, but was locked to 800x600. I was told there’s an issue with 6.15 Kernal so I downgraded to 6.12, butt now I have no lan wifi and don’t own ethernet. Any advice on what to do?

Ps, I have a broadcom wifi card.

Hi @jacket666 welcome to Tumbleweed … we get a lot of updates did you do zypper dup after that?

How did you do that? … “the hard way” or with the provided G06 drivers?

Yes … If you do it the “hard way” you need a patch

Kernel modules need to match the installed kernel … I think probably the modules in initrd are still from 6.15

Do a zypper dup … if the proper G06 drivers install then you should be fine … pretty sure your card is too old for the “open” drivers

If you still have problems post the results of inxi -GSaz using the peformatted text </> option and include command prompt in that … it’s hard to help if we don’t have any details
