I’m using openSUSE 11.0, everything up to date. I downloaded and installed the printer drivers from the brother site, followed the instructions at BSC: Network Setting in CUPS based Linux system, and added the printer (network printer). The printer is a MFC5460CN. When I try to print a test page, or any page, it seems to spool to the printer, and then just sits there. The printer works fine w/ windows and osx. I can see the page in the queue at localhost:631. It seems to just be stuck at “processing.” Any suggestions?
Fixed it by following the advice in another thread to uninstall/reinstall cups and the drivers…must have done it in the wrong order before.
