Issues installing latest Tumbleweed

Have a couple of other current posts re updating to a different pc (Dell 7060 to Lenovo M920S), so thought I would just do a new reinstall on the same partition (SSD, 1TB).
Downloaded latest version, which I am having multiple problems with…
Grub installer has been changed - yes can select Grub2 with EFI.
NO detection of USB Wifi dongles (have several that have all worked natively with previous install??)
Only way to have networking on install is to tether my phone - yes, does tether but is S-L-O-W, as in tried that and the install increased by about 2% in 1+ hours - indeed, even if I get it installed (with issues…), and manage to install a WiFi dongle, anything to do with yast that involves networking is slow, but downloading in the browser is fine??
Is there anywhere I can download an ‘older’ version of Tumbleweed, that can be updated? The only older version I have on hand is from 2023, which I doubt could be upgraded??
Please don’t flame me - just want to get it installed, and don’t want to have to move to Ubuntu (which works fine…)
Thanks.

@hornetster normally that’s related to firmware, new network hardware that’s not mainline yet, or hardware that requires proprietary blobs… Maybe some info on the devices in question.

And the last line is inappropriate, use whatever, but your here for help with openSUSE… If not happy no one is stopping you moving to something that works for you.

Thanks for the reply.
The last line was not meant as a threat/whatever, that was just the other option I had - a working Ubuntu on the same drive…
I MUCH prefer Tumbleweed!
As such, I appear to be at least 90% working now, after another install, but still have the problem with the really slow Opensuse downloads. There isn’t an issue with the opensuse servers ATM? (although the forums seem OK - different server? Have checked https://status.opensuse.org and all seems OK?)
Have the same issue with both Zypper and Discover, but have just tried a flatpak from discover, and all is good… And before I reinstalled, had 'dup’d with no issues.
Except for the PC, the network hardware I am using is the same as I have used before, and all worked well. Lenovo apparently are Linux friendly…
Not sure if there is anything PC related (BIOS/firmware?) that could be causing problems? Same drives are being used…

@hornetster See this thread, I bet your hitting the Australian mirror…
https://forums.opensuse.org/t/block-specific-mirror-or-region-before-migration-to-v16/190223 You might want to add your info to that thread as well…

So what network hardware?

If you are using the latest DVD image of TW I would just install and once done it should be fine. The installer doesn’t detect my WiFi at install but it works perfectly well post install
What happens after install for you?

Thanks for that, yes, would say that is the issue…

Most reliable in the long run has been a Linksys Wusb600N (ancient, but totally reliable), and a couple of Realtek dongles that seem very reliable also… They were fixed when I downloaded some Realtek firmware, but in the past they have also worked for install, so probably the Aussie issue…

Again, thanks.

Yep, basically what I ended up doing.
Looks like it was mainly the server issue as above…
Thanks.
