As t he message does not display the URL it tells you it has a problem with, the meaning is a bit vague. But we could start of course by looking at the repos you have:
zypper lr -d
Many thanks Henk.
Here’s the output of zypper lr -d

Well, a vast list of them.
About #9. What is that. A complete disk partition? When you used that to install from, I would disable it now like I would disbale the install DVD after installation.
Your guess is correct, it’s the install medium. Should be removed since it causes the repo error when the medium is no longer present.
Thanks folks for your help.
I deleted the USB install media, but something persists:

disable and stop refresh for source, debug, vlc repos and dvd. Packman contains vlc packages
su -
zypper mr -d -R 3 9 10 11 12 15
and then clean and force refresh
su -
zypper clean --all
zypper ref -f
Thanks for this nice info.
All worked but this:
Forcing raw metadata refresh
Retrieving repository 'Multimedia' metadata ......................................................[error]
What’s this about ?
/Erik
No idea whthere FTP repos are supported
try disabling multimedia,
su - zypper mr -d -R Multimedia
and then add
$ zypper ar -c -n 'Packman 12.3 repo' http://packman.inode.at/suse/openSUSE_12.3/ packman
Finally
su - zypper clean --all zypper ref -f
I now got this:
zypper clean --all zypper ref -f
Repository 'zypper' not found by its alias, number, or URI.
Repository 'ref' not found by its alias, number, or URI.
Repository '-f' not found by its alias, number, or URI.
Use 'zypper repos' to get the list of defined repositories.
Could not clean the repositories because of errors.
