I’m having trouble with installing OpenSuse. There were several issues. When I went through the installation at 96% the boot loader was not installing. When I aborted and tried all over again it said “Please make sure your installation medium is available” The next time I did it again I decided to check Installation Media, and it said something a long the lines of ‘this is not a vaild Opensuse installation’. I have re-downloaded the iso twice. The first time I used Pendrivelinux.com USB Installer, it didn’t work so I downloaded SUSE Studio Image Writer, but I couldn’t pick the USB drive. So I tried using Image USB, but when I booted it up and checked it, it still said something about ‘this is not a vaild Opensuse installation’. This was when I re-downloaded the iso but the issue still persist. I’m clueless as what I should do next to install OpenSuse.
Did you ever get this resolved? Or, did you disappear?
I have only just now come across this thread, sorry you did not get any responses sooner.
Image writer has a bug in that is filters iso files from the choice just override it. Also you did not say what operating system you now run there may be problems on Winodws 8.X
If Windows try this one

You must do a simple binary copy to the device. If you currently run a LInux flavor you can simply do
cp isofilename /dev/sdX
where sdX is the device for the USB device. Note you copy to the device not a partition on the device.
The other methods you mention will not work since they modify the iso image which breaks openSUSE
