The problem with systray items not opening after a while still exists in Leap 15 just as it did in 42.3. Yes restarting plasmashell fixes it till the next time but I’d have thought as the problem seems to have been fixed in TW it should not be happening in Leap 15. It has happened to me frequently on this system but not using the device notifier but most often when using the Network Manager applet in the systray.

Was this a new Installation or an Upgrade from Leap 42.3?
If the last one, would it help to create a new User and log in there?
I’ll try but it did not get fixed in 42.3 and a new user had the problem. This was a fresh install but I kept my /home.

This is a current problem here with TW - but not in Leap 42.3 or 15.
Royal PITA!
I have the opposite, failed in 42.3 and now on new install of 15 but no problem in TW!
