iSCSI - retaining Window sizes

iSCSI:

  1. Hello, I was wondering if someone could point me to any resources that explain setting up the iSCSI Initiator in openSUSE 12.3 to an iSCSI target on a microsoft 2012 storage server that includes all necessary support programs such a Samba and the like. I understand Microsoft’s implementation of iSCSI but am unfamiliar with the linux side, I’ve tried searching the site and got no hits on the subject.

Retaining window dimensions:

I was trying to control my windows so they would open the next time at the previous dimensions I sized them to, for example when launching Software Manager it continually opens at 3/4 of my screen. I’ve tried messing with the window control in the upper left hand corner of the window but been unable to get it to function.

Any help on either issue would be greatly appreciated.

again, welcome…but here we prefer one question per
thread…otherwise the answers get all jumbled up…and, maybe one
thing gets answered and the other thing does not…

and, while the first question was also asking for help, this one ask

Thank you for the info, I did look at the tech forums and did not see any that look like it was the correct subject, I figured by posting here I’d be point to the correct thread. 10-4 on the one question per post, and again thank you for the links I’ll check them out.
