ISCAN problem

I am told my Epson Perfection V100 Photo scanner requires iscan firmware. I tried to install from a web site and was told I already had a newer version installed. But the YAST hardware setup insists iscan is not installed. :\

Are you on KDE or Gnome? Did you try using xSane to configure the scanner? Try using a generic USB Flatbed scanner or the nearest USB Epson flatbed scanner closest to your model.

Download and install it from here:
Scanner | AVASYS CORPORATION

Sorry for the delay. I am trying to run 11.4 KDE. xSane says no devices. I only have the one scanner, which works perfectly with 10.3 and iscan. I installed iscan to 11.4 but it gives the same message 10.3 gives when I forget to turn on the power to the scanner. But with 11.4 this message occurs when the power is ON as well! lsusb shows the scanner.
I am back to running 10.3 at present.

Please post:

zypper se -s iscan

This is from my computer. I have one MAJOR question: why, when I had a clean install from the 11.4 DVD, are all the repositories marked as 11.2?

HELP!

I am now trying manually to rebuild my repository references in YAST and will see if that cures the problem.
