I just got a private message from a newly registered user…
The text is rather hard to understand but that might be a bad english or a “smart bot”.
Seeing that another user did look at his profile makes me wonder if they did not get the same message.
The message:

Looks to me like someone whom should be directed to post a question in
the forums.
In fact my answer was to that effect. Told him that we all would like to see his questions with a telling title in a fitting sub-forum.
Pointed also in general to the “New users” thread and to the Download page of openSUSE.
What puzzled me also was “how come he / she sent me a message” (I do not have a T-shirt with “Pick me! Pick me!” on it ) - my last post was not regarding install / boot / login so that’s why I thought it would me some kind of bot.
I was about to post a response, with pointers on what he /she should read, before asking more about installing on the thread he posted but I noticed that DenverD already did that.
Waiting for a reaction from the new user side too now.

I share your puzzle. I could imagine (s)he took me for a sort of guru, but I am happy that ot seems more a sort of irrational pcking some people. Brings me down to earth where I belong.
I will keep everybody informed here when I have more info.

Incidentally I got the same PM too. I suspect the user just misunderstands how the forum works and just contacted a few users who were visible on the front page of the forum, i.e. as last posters of a subforum.
