Is this Possible on Opensuse 13.2

Hi, well I’am a new user of Opensuse, why i do love it its because it dam stable Os ,

Software compatibility = 100 % for me

well here is a my question , since i finally got a stable Linux i’am sticking to it . Opensuse Xfc4 i would like to install a couple of Penetration testing tool on it . is that Possible,

To build out a personal set on Opensuse Linux ?

First tool i’am having some hard time to install it

Metasploit framework have somebody been able to install it without error ?

There is a Metasploit package already built for openSUSE

https://software.opensuse.org/package/metasploit

You can search for packages here

http://software.opensuse.org/

Here is the metasploit.

If you have an OBS account you can patch/tweak packages according to your own hearts content or build it yourself locally.

Compiling is your last resort.

Although you can install a number of pen testing packages on openSUSE, most pen testing apps today are natively written for Debian.

Is likely why the major pen testing suites use that OS.
FWIW, I find it’s far more convenient to just run a pen testing suite LiveCD (or installed in a VM)
Recommend Kali
www.kali.org

You can also use Kali to discover and play around with before installing the specifc app in openSUSE (if available as an RPM at all).
