Is there any virtual resolution possible in 11.2

I seem to recall earlier versions of Linux that allowed virtual screens larger than the physical screen that scrolled…

I would really like this functionality because I am running on an Acer Aspire One, and I would really like to run Eclipse, and some windows in Eclipse crunch down and hide options I need.

Is there a way to have my 1024x600 display operate as 1024x768?

I am running openSUSE 11.2 and a pretty much default installation (KDE).

You can try the Virt option in xorg (man xorg.conf)

Thanks, I am exploring the xorg.conf file. I just need to figure out which driver I am using so I add the Display SubSection properly.

You can find many information about current drivers, parameters, faults, etc in /var/log/Xorg.0.log file.
