kinfocenter gives a lot of info don’t know Sisoft Sandra so can’t say if there is any difference or not.
I too have no clue as to what Sisoft Sandra shows. However, a nice little command line app is inxi … running “inxi -F” gives very succinct output
Hi
What about hardinfo?
software.opensuse.org:
Here is another choice: H.I. Hardware Information - A Bash script to install and run inxi with default options! - Blogs - openSUSE Forums
Thank You,
I also like to install the packman packager packaged application ‘inxi’ and send the command ‘inxi -F’.
For more specific detailed motherboard memory related information, I find ‘dmidecode’ (which needs to be run with root permissions) quite good.
I also have no clue about “Sisoft Sandra”.

GNOME 3.6.2
openSUSE Release 12.3 (Dartmouth) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 3.7.10-1.16-desktop
Thanks Tyler, it does show quite a lot in a few lines and it had the info I was looking for.
I had to laugh at the comments about HI. It’s one of those neat little utilities that I always forget how to run and is now permanently carved into my list of “stuff” I use all the time.
The list keeps getting longer.
inxi -H
mc
zc
dmidecode
and dang I forgot one I am sure.
Malcolm, how do I go about getting it ?
I went to the link and clicked on the 12.3 version and nothing happens.
Is it already part of the distro ?
