Is there a "desktop video" app for OpenSUSE 11.1?

Not sure if this should be posted here or over in applications, but it’s
kinda multimedia, so…

I need to capture video from what’s on screen to show what a misbehaving
(other) application is doing. Kinda like taking a screenshot to show
what’s on screen, but I need the full motion of a video.

Is there an app for this? All I can find looking for “video” is players
and format converters.
