Is The HCL Open for Business?

I just finished setting up my new laptop (see sig) with openSUSE 11.2 and I intended to add an entry for it in the HCL (I found very little info about this model with Linux, so I figured I’d try to make it easier for the next guy). However, there’s a friendly (?) warning on the HCL not to make “major changes” until the page is added to the “new wiki”. I can’t recall hearing of a new wiki, and I’m not sure if adding an entry qualifies as a “major change”, but could somebody fill me in this?

Also, is the “correct” way to add an HCL entry to edit the wiki page myself? Or should I post/email my info and someone else takes care of it?

Thanks.

The wiki is getting a major overhaul. Which page is it you want to edit? url?

The situation is that eventually edits to HCL will automatically go to a review section.

From what I can see, that page has not been thru the review process yet, so your adding to it should be fine.

Perhaps you would like me to move this thread here:

The use of “major changes” tag has been discussed in the ml. AFAIK, it is fine for you to add new entry on your own at this point.

Thanks for jumping in there Michael:)

You’re most welcomed

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum; I didn’t realize there was a wiki subforum. If you could move the thread that’d be great.

I’ll go ahead an add an entry for my laptop to the current page. Thanks for the updates!
