Suse 11.0 x64, Kde 3.5.9, Gnome 2.20, Opera 9.x weekly

Both. There are separate versions (plus PowerPC) available for
download. Which one you use will depend on the architecture of your
machine.

Hope this helps

Do you work with Novell technologies within an academic environment?
Your campus may benefit from joining the Novell Technology Transfer
Partners (TTP) organisation. See www.novell.com/ttp for more info.

you could also install the 32bit version on a 64bit machine for sure, but not the other way around!

What about this boxed version I received in my email, thx:

Purchase the boxed version now, and get the convenience of product discs and a printed manual, as well as 90-day phone and email installation support for only $59.95.

It contains both.

Is it different discs or selectable when loading, thx.

You get different images.

Thank you for the responses.

The boxed version has a pressed DVD for which it’s no hassle at all to make double layer. So Novell combines both architectures on the DVD and it automatically detects if your machine is 64-bit. But you can override it.

However for downloaded images, double layer blanks are still much more expensive than normal blanks (a store nearby was having a end-of-FY clearance and selling spindles of 50 for $5, even cheaper than CDs, crazy!). So that there isn’t a huge chorus of condemnation over making people use DL blanks, the only sensible thing for Novell to do is to provide separate images.
