Is my download good?

I got these #'s after the download? Where’s the reference # to compare them to?

I did a burn, but I’m not knowing if I burned a bad download, or if I burned in a non-iso format. (it wouldn’t boot)

Thanks…

On the download page Software.openSUSE.org there are links labelled md5 and sha1 after you have chosen 32/64 bit, DVD/Live-CD. These will download files containing the respective sums. The sum you have matches. Make sure you burn it as an image.

Thanks!

I burned once, but it didn’t load upon re-boot.

I burned again (same disk, overwriting data), making sure it was an ISO image. Still, no load on re-boot.

Can an ISO be written over other data, when it IS a DVD+RW?

Never mind there Ken… I just booted it in another computer, and it has begun loading…

Yes, you can rewrite DVD+RWs and DVD-RWs. I don’t know if writing a CD ISO image on a DVD will work with all BIOSes, but I can’t see why not, as the only difference is the size. Also depending on the age of the DVD drive, it might not read +RWs reliably.
