Is it possible to use a USB device with a Windows application running on Wine with the openSUSE distribution?

Let me explain. I borrow books from the public library that can only be borrowed using Adobe Digital Editions (no other alternative). I installed ADE 3 which works well with Wine on openSUSE. I can borrow the book and open them. My difficulty is that ADE doesn’t recognize my e-reader (KOBOeReader) when I connect it via USB to the computer. Is there a solution to solve this problem (settings in Wine for instance) or is the system simply not designed for this?
Thanks
Antoine

Calibre works pretty well with Kobo devices, and can import ADE downloads, with a little setup.

sounds good. but does it also work for books with a loan period ?

I haven’t a clue, where that is concerned.
