Not at all, do not use it. It’s out of support and insecure.
http://en.opensuse.org/SUSE_Linux_Lifetime
Get the latest 11.2 and install that.

Install a supported version. As to the “How to set up IPs”… well,
“correctly” of course. You may want to let us know what you need and
explore YaST / Network Settings and Security / Firewall (for NAT
routing) until then.

Good luck,

not so fast there Andreas, SLES 10 is supported…

chaikon, is yours SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (SLES 10), or SUSE
Linux Enterprise Point of Service 10, or SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop
10…or is it as Andreas thinks (openSUSE 10.0)??

learn the answer to that question at a command line with this

cat /etc/SuSE-release

if you have any SLE_ 10 it is supported until 2013 to 2016 (cite:
http://support.novell.com/lifecycle/lcSearchResults.jsp?st=-1&sl=s&sg=-1&pid=1000)
and you should check in with the folks at forums.novell.com,

otherwise, as Andreas correctly noted openSUSE 11.x is all we can help
you with here…
