Ipod Sync with Banshee

When i first plugged my ipod in, it said that it was too new to read, so I ran the update with banshee. Now it shows all of the files, but whenever I try to add or remove a file from my ipod, it say that it’s preparing to synchronize, but just sits there. Any help on how to make it actually sync?

also, whenever I plug the ipod in, the computer gives me a dozen error messages saying it cannot mount the drive because the partition is already in use. Is there a way to get rid of those?

Exactly which iPod are you using? Banshee version?

Banshee was recently changed to use libgpod, which should be supporting
the latest and greatest iPod hardware, but as a recent change to Banshee,
it could be buggy still.

You might test with Rhythmbox to see if it can talk to your iPod
correctly. If so, then libgpod is ok, and it’s a Banshee bug.

Somehow after trying to manually sync it a few dozen times it finally worked. And the error message doesn’t come from Banshee.
It says: DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed: An operation is already pending.
That message displays at least 8 times after I exit out of the dialog box. Do you know what is causing it or how to fix it?

Oh ****. After having synced the entire library onto the ipod, i used if for a few hours and plugged it back into my computer. Now it’s decided that the files don’t exist, and wiped them from the drive. What on earth is going on?

Dunno. You’ve not answered any of my questions from my previous post:

What iPod are you using?
What version of Banshee?
What version of libgpod is installed?
Does it work correctly with Rythmbox?
