Every once in a while when I plug my ipod (160gb 5 generation) in, it gets mounted as root.
If I eject and restart the ipod, the next time I plug it in, it is mounted as my normal user. Any ideas on this sporadic issue?
Are you loged in (with your normal username) when you insert the device?
Yes, I’m logged in as my normal user. Strangely, I can load files with GTK Pod, eject the ipod. Load music later and that next time I load the ipod goes into root privileges. So then I’m restarting the ipod.
