Ipod and Suse 11.4

I’m trying to get my IPOD shuffle working with Suse 11.4. I was previously on Suse10 something and it was working.

System:
Suse 11.4 (64bit)
KDE 4.6.0
IPOD shuffle (v1, 1Gb)
Amarok 2.4.0

When I plug in my IPOD suse does not mount or recognize it.

Fdisk shows…
> fdisk -l

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 * 46 2037247 1018601 b W95 FAT32

I have created a mount point and have to manually mount the device:

mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/ipod/

As you can see, the IPOD’s directory structure is now accessible

Opening one of the /F0xxx folders shows the audio files:

If I click one of those mp3 files, it does open amarok and does play, however Amarok still shows no mention of iPod at all.

pt 2:

In gtkpod, I click the “Load IPOD” button and get the following alert:

Clicking “Create directory structure” opens…

As you can see, the two settings are correct but clicking “ok” here leads to:

What next??

No help at all?
