Invalid link message on reputation

I tried to add to a user’s reputation and got an ‘Invalid link’ message.

Not being able to add to his reputation, I simply added the post that currently ends this thread.

Hi John,

I can’t immediately see any reason for you not being able to add to the reputation. I assume you’ve successfully added reputation to other users before? It could have been a glitch. Dunno. If you have the same problem again, let us know. Thanks for taking the time to report it.

If it’s a NNTP user, that could be the issue

I just tried it myself, and was able to add to the user’s rep. Not sure
what the issue is here.
