Internet drops randomly I've edited in yast/NM still no luck..help

Hello,

New to Opensuse, installed march 7th 2010 with 11.2 been lurking and looking for a solution for my “resolve host” problem. I tried everything I saw on here and through googling. But still nothing.

I tried downloading wicd and even knetworkmanager and tried traditional in yast but i still keep getting dropped even though networkmanager says I’m connected. I try switching from another wifi then back to mines and it can’t connect.

in yast and networkmanager I manually entered my dns info, ip address and everything but I still get “resolve host” then dropped whenever I’m online at random times. Sometimes I can go all day online others a couple of minutes or hours.

Anyone know what I can do next? I really want to stop using vista and I like OpenSuse a lot more but staying online is a problem.

Help please…

have you very carefully read the ‘stickies’ in the wireless sub-forum
to this one?

see these:

http://forums.opensuse.org/network-internet/wireless/410319-getting-your-wireless-work.html

http://forums.opensuse.org/network-internet/wireless/391535-my-wireless-doesnt-work-primer-what-i-should-do-next.html

http://forums.opensuse.org/network-internet/wireless/309432-welcome.html

do NOT post your more detailed and clear question (to the WIRELESS
forum) until after you have been through all of those…

How I attempted to fix this issue myself:

I downloaded wireshark, wicd, knetworkmanager. Tried running all of them nothing worked.

I went into Yast and switched off networkmanager and went traditional still nothing.

Tried adding opendns to traditional. nothing.

Went back to NM would get online then after an unknown time I’d lose connection even though NM said i was still connected.

After reading the stickies
I ran what I read except for madwifi and the ndsiwrapper since I read thats for those who can’t get online. I can’t stay online.

Here is what I got from running the terminal codes
