Internet connection promblem

Hi,
I am using openSuse 11.0 whenever I want to connect to Internet I have to give command as follows as su
route add default gw <ip address of getway>
how should I abandon it.

You can set it permanently in Yast → Network Devices → Network settings → activate the “Routing” Tab → Default gateway
