Intel WiFi 7 BE201 laptop adapter

I installed Tumbleweed on my new laptop and the WiFi adapter doesn’t work. It doesn’t show up in networking. I was able to get online with one of those mini 2.4ghz USB adapters and I did a zypper dup and even an online update wouldn’t install it. Based on my search it appears Intel does make a Linux driver for this adapter (Link to Intel Driver) but it says should be in my distribution.

I know this is a newish card and 6ghz band is iffy in Plasma (based on some messages I’ve seen in dmesg). Has anyone gotten this card to work? I hate to replace it right away since it does seem there are drivers, I’m just not sure if they’re supported and I have an issue I need to fix, or if it’s not supported and there’s nothing I can do.

I don’t know where to start, any ideas?

Yeah, I thought they should be. I did find this bugzilla.kernel.org bug report so it looks like this is a known issue with the BE201. I’m waiting for resolution, but will hold off buying a replacement card.
