Intel 975 chipset

Has anyone used openSUSE 11.0 on an Intel motherboard w/975 chip set and the
975Express controllers? The hardware compatibility website does not list
much for test hardware with openSUSE 11.0.

Thats for any response?

There won’t be an opensuse compatability problem per se, but the kernel version does matter. This HCL link mentions 975 chipset (see ASUS entry), with possible HDD problems due to libata issues. You should be ok with recent kernel. Graphics is another story…

Thanks for the reply. I saw the Asus board in the list but the board thats
giving me hardware problems is an Asus and their support is zero for Linux.
So I’m looking at an actual Intel board. I was looking at using my Nvidia
card for graphics, instead of the on board card. Need o check that out.
