Intel 5300 disconnect problems after upgrading 11.3

I checked the version of iw and libiw and they appear to be the same as yours:

<darren@XPS16:~> rpm -qa '*iw*'                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
libiw30-30.pre8-11.2.x86_64
iw-0.9.18-3.1.x86_64

Does anyone else have more ideas?
